In computing, firmware is software that is embedded in a hardware device, that allows

reading and executing the software, but does not allow modification, e.g., writing or

deleting data by an end user. Flash memory is non-volatile, which means that it

stores information on a silicon chip in a way that does not need power to maintain the

information in the chip. This means that if you turn off the power to the chip, the

information is retained without consuming any power.

When we release the new firmware, you can download the file and write it into

Gateway’s Flash Memory by rom command. You can change your Gateway from SIP

to H323 by load the H323 ROM file, also you can change it back to SIP by load the SIP

ROM file as well.

Note:

Be very careful when you upgrade the new firmware, make sure you downloaded the

correct file for your model. Wrong file may cause serious damage.
